the D-Link DGL-4500 Gaming wireless Router was built with the gamer in mind and is loaded with features to get your game going smoother and reduce lag , if you are are a hardcore gamer than you will certainly like this router .
you can get D-Link DGL-4500 Gaming router for a price range of 149$-199$.

PROS:

  • 802.11n Draft Support:The D-Link Gigabit gaming Router is a draft 802.11n compliant device that delivers up to 14x faster speeds and 6x farther range than 802.11g
  • Dualband Draft 802.11n Technology (2.4GHz or 5GHz) for Getting Your Game on in the Wireless Band of Your Choice , the 5Ghz Dual Band offers a better performance and lower ping Than the 2.4Ghz But also less range , so if your Xbox is no far from the router , I recommend switching to the 5Ghz for optimal performance . note the the 2 band do not work simultaneously : you have to choose one band to go for .

Junk had issues daily with dropping signal.sometimes many times a day.had to unplug and reboot.found out it was made by AOl .nuff said. Went out and bought apply airport problems solved

Pros:

  • the router come with Rich features not included in other brands  routers available in the market like  GameFuel Engine mixed with dual band connectivity and 3 Antennas for extended coverage  , i assume this has turned the router to the best choice for online gamers who use a wireless connection to play online .

Cons:

  • the router need to reboot every 12 hours  which is not reliable .
  • the firmware updates are useless , i didn't see anything changing when updating  firmware

Pros: just upgraded my DGL-4100 to this router , the big difference i fount is the throughput speed and management , I can surf on the internet easily while gaming or streaming media , this is a big feature for online gamers who wouldn't like to see the ping going up while opening a web page .
Cons: i cannot  work with 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz simultaneously , for a such a router price , this feature must be included ,
 need to install application to work with wireless devices such as external hard drives etc..., this is not very reliable .
Bottom Line: not regretted buying the router , it offer a decent performance for gamers and smooth transfers

pros:  Running about 1 Weak excessively without a problem , I like the Design and Range , the Router is placed in the First floor on a Big House(3 Floors) and we get a minimum of 4 bars in all home , also, The throughput speed is excellent with both 2.4 and 5Ghz frequency ( I use the 5Ghz always for gaming and home streaming).

Cons: the price is the only router cons

Bottom Line: absolutely , this is the best gaming router in the market , i was glad i bought it despite all the router negative reviews I read about dropping connections
