Linksys E1000 is a great choice for people who plan to buy a Wireless Router For Home Use use and do not need advanced features like NAS server or Dual Band (check Linksys E3000 review for these features).
the router is easy to setup and configure ,offering solid performance for 59 bucks , it could be a great deal.

PROS:

  • 802.11n Standard: Linksys E1000 Router is a draft 802.11n compliant device that delivers up to 14x faster speeds and 6x farther range than 802.11g
  • Easy to Set-up and configure: No knowledge needed to install the router, all you have to do is following the Manual and it's done in few clicks
  • Advanced Features: with Linksys E1000, you can Limit access time and websites with Parental Controls ,Easily access advanced network settings, Create a separate, secure, password protected network for guests .
  • Affordable price and nice design

CONS:

  • No Gigabit Standard support (wired connection)
  • No USB port : linksys E1000 lacks of USB port used to connect a printer or an USB storage device, such as a hard drive
  • although throughput speed is acceptable in a short range , but it drops drastically at long distances

Pros:
• Excellent price/performance ratio
• Nice-looking router
• unlike my old Netgear router , I have not to restart it many time a day because of connection
dropping
Cons:
• Guest Feature Not available without using a software.

Bottom Line:
• linksys e1000 is my most reliable router so far. I didn't really need the E2000 and E3000 advanced features , or at least not enough to spend significantly more. Works well with all my devices. Connections are established quickly and I don't experience any droppage with my home (in & outside).

Pros:
•Easy Setup and connection of all devices (I have a PS3,Wireless printer And 3 Laptops) .
•unlike most routers ,there is no additional worthless software in the installation progress ,a few clicks and you're done.
Cons:
•None
Bottom Line: I become addicted to Linksys Products , this is my 3 Cisco router after 2 WRT54G series routers

Pros:stable, reliable and easy to set up Even for My Unbuntu (through configuration interface)
Cons:Cisco Easy Connect would never support Linux platforms
Bottom Line:linksys e1000 is a great router at a great price.
